We think that it is fundamentally important to embrace innovation—innovation that is incapable of existing without contrasting perspectives. Our hope is to refine the ability to formulate sound and valid arguments, the ability to verbalize ideas, and ultimately to be able to concoct individual opinions on controversial and globally relevant matters; debate is the fundamentally core that achieves all three of these things.

Case In Point is an organization that looks to expand debate into schools currently lacking this activity, and help create a student-dependent self sustainable system within a club for it to prosper in the following years to come. Further, we think it is fundamentally important to connect the three levels—junior high, senior high, and post-secondary—to create an overarching mentorship model that shapes Calgary youth to develop public speaking and critical analysis skills.
